Emergency / Priority traffic: Greg, KG6SJT announced that there had been a break in a Levee near Manteca and that evacuations in the surrounding area had been ordered. Ken, K6WLS then read a press release concerning the Levee break that was posted on the KCRA web site giving additional details.

Announcements Doug reminded everyone that our monthly ARES meeting would be held tomorrow night at Raleys if Yolo ARES was not activated.

Traffic: Greg KG6SJT provided additional information regarding the Levee Break and also announced that the wind advisory for Yolo had been extended but the wind gust speeds had been reduced. Rick N6KLB asked Doug to please notify everyone as early as possible if the ARES meeting were to be cancelled tomorrow night and Doug agreed.

Most deaths that occur during flooding conditions are attributed to such actions.
