Darrin, K9RTY - Reminder: The Yolo County ARES monthly meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday, at 1900hrs (7pm) at the Red Cross Chapter House in Woodland.
Ken, K6WLS - There will be a testing session at the Red Cross on 12 Dec. This session will include all elements of the the Amateur Radio license. Please let Ken know no later than Monday, 7 December.
Greg, KG6SJT - Available for download is a zipped file of over 100 practice messages conducted by members of Yolo County ARES since 2005.
Todd, KE6GCV, Net Control - Over the weekend, UC Davis successfully moved their repeater over to the new frequency pair. Freq: 145.4500 MHz. Offset: Negative (-). PL: 203.5 (Encode only). The transmit power of the repeater has not been adjusted as of current, therefore, users are asked to keep traffic to a minimum as much as possible. They have also enable a time-out of two minutes to help keep the repeater cool until the power can be adjusted. Also, the Davis Turkey Trot is this Saturday, 21 Nov. A big thank you to all who stepped up to volunteer for this event, including two members of Sac Metro Fire's Amateur Radio Team. An email with event information will be sent out within the next couple of days.
